Benjamin Okenwa
As a designer, urbanist and educator, I bring a global perspective shaped by living, studying, and practicing on three continents. These experiences inform my understanding of order, space, and functionality across diverse cultural contexts of design.
At Studio OLA, I approach every project with an obsession for form, materiality, and detail, creating an aesthetic language that is unique to each client and responsive to its place. Landscape architecture and design has allowed me to work across different scales, from master planning of communities to designing neighborhood open spaces, down to crafting private gardens with each scale informing the other, and connecting broad frameworks with the lived experience.
As an educator and scholar, I bring interdisciplinary experience into the classroom, mentoring students through both design thinking and real-world application. This interplay of practice, teaching, and scholarship keeps my work curious, current, and deeply attuned to how people interact with space.
